Bigger, better, deadlier
Hey folks! I hope you're having a good 2021 so far.
Since Ludum Dare 47, we've been putting some work into Pillars of Anguish, and we have a fresh new build ready for you to try!
666Savior has been busy building the game's world. There's a whole new level to wander through, a sizeable extension to one of the existing levels, and some improved environment art.
I've been working on overall quality of player experience - adding an options menu, a pause menu, a significantly less janky system for dialogues, and a bunch of smaller tweaks and bugfixes. We now have basic gamepad controls, and gone is the infamous "Press [Esc]" troll (we loved your reactions! :D).
Sounds mildly interesting? Play it! Download the build for free, or donate a small tip to support the project! You can also use the itch.io app.
Let us know what you think of the level design, look & feel, gameplay, and everything else. Find us:

Oh, I forgot to add: there is no savegame system yet. Don't quit the game if you wanna continue! ;) If you quit to menu and click 'play' again, it starts from the beginning of the level you left off at.
